The University of the West of England hosts Special Eductional Needs Event

UWE Bristol played host to a Special Educational Needs event; “SEN-DICE”; (DICE standing for the Paralympic values; determination, inspiration, courage, equality) on Wednesday 13 June.

60 children attended from Claremont School, Redland Green School, Brislington Enterprise College, Kingsweston School and Briarwood School.

The event; a collaboration between UWE Bristol’s Sports Development team and Claremont School in Bristol, was funded through the UWE Better Together Fund, sponsored by Deloitte and granted the official ‘Inspired by London 2012 logo’.

 

 

 

 

 

A range of Paralympic sports were delivered by National Governing Body coaches which included; wheelchair basketball, athletics, Boccia and judo.
