Revised Out of Home Energy (Calorie) Labelling Guidance is now available

We have updated our Out of Home Energy (Calorie) Labelling guidance to bring it in line with the new EU Food Information for Consumers Regulation (No. 1169/2011).

The revised Guidance on Voluntary Energy (kcal/kJ) Labelling for Out Of Home Businesses (2015) combines the Technical guidance and the Illustrative guidance previously used.

This document is aimed at businesses who have signed up to the Out of Home Energy (Calorie) Labelling pledge (F1). They are also of interest to enforcement authorities, national associations and health professionals.

The Guidance is available here.

Please advise when the requirement to publish both kJ and kcal on menus will be enforced, as we weren’t expecting this until 2016.
