The health, safety and wellbeing of all personnel that carry out work for and on behalf of Dyer & Butler is considered to be an integral part of our organisational culture and as such the company is committed to maintaining and improving the overall health and wellbeing of our workforce. Our strategy to deliver this is as follows…

The company will maintain a suitable service agreement with an occupational health service provider.

Prior to commencement of employment, all personnel will complete a “baseline” medical questionnaire in order to provide information on their past medical history. All personnel will be considered for a full medical examination, where appropriate.

All existing members of staff will be regularly assessed in relation to their medical history and where necessary, they will be considered for a full medical examination, where appropriate.

The company will review the findings from all questionnaires, medical examinations and occupational health risks that are identified on site to ensure that the occupational health and wellbeing requirements of the company are constantly updated and considered.

The company will procure the assistance and advice of specialist occupational health specialists and hygienists where the risk to health is deemed to be significant enough to warrant specialist advice.

Personnel that need to be afforded a higher duty of care (due to pre-existing health conditions) will be fully assessed to ensure that a suitable and sufficient plan is put into place to allow them to continue to work safely.

All employees where an occupational health plan has been devised will be monitored to ensure that the controls measures specified by the plan remain effective.

Occupational health performance will be reported to the Board of Director on a monthly basis.

The company will maintain defined occupational health and wellbeing procedures to control and monitor high risk activities such as night work
