15 September, 2014
Submitted: 11 November, 2014
We will produce annual reports detailing delivery of the Trust's Health and Well-being strategy which is categorized into four key deliverables:
• Theme 1: Improving physical wellbeing of our staff
• Theme 2: Improving Mental Wellbeing of our staff
• Theme 3: Improving wellbeing through people management practices
• Theme 4: Supporting economic and social wellbeing
We will link with The Trust's Workforce and OD&T services to ensure a co-ordinated reporting approach including the publication of the Trust's sickness absence rates and key health and wellbeing achievements. Sickness absence rates will be notified to the Trust Board via the HR dashboard and scrutinised with actions fed back to each area.
Absence data will continue to be used to support managers to implement the robust Trust policy. Sickness meetings will continue to be held with for each clinical area. Attendance meetings take place to review high episodic and long term absences to ensure staff are appropriately and consistently supported and managed effectively. Sickness absence training will continue to be provided.
