H3. Health & Wellbeing Report

Committed since:

9 April, 2014

Delivery plan:

Submitted: 10 April, 2014

By reporting on employee health and wellbeing, and taking a pro-active approach to implement the right initiatives, Liverpool Community Health (LCH) can demonstrate to our employees that workforce wellbeing is a priority to the organisation.

Improved health and wellbeing can influence a whole host of benefits including employee performance at work, increase staff morale, job satisfaction as well as other organisational benefits including a reduction of sickness absence.

Over the forthcoming year LCH will engage with staff and report on health and wellbeing through the following channels:

-Our annual ‘Health Needs Assessment’ which will report our current organisational profile, our sickness and absence trends and subsequent recommendations to support areas of concern for the forthcoming year.

-Our Staff Engagement Programme which includes our Annual Staff Survey, LCH staff Roadshows and ‘Listening into Action’ gives staff the opportunity to comment and report on their own health and wellbeing.

-Our performance analysts provide monthly, quarterly and annual reports that demonstrate the reasons for sickness and absence across the LCH. These reports can be produced to breakdown high level divisional sickness and absence percentage right through to low level team reporting.

-Our monthly Health and Wellbeing group will meet regularly to scrutinize our monthly sickness and absence reports, identify areas of poor attendance and ensure that resource and intervention is refocused within said areas to support staff wellbeing.

-Our Occupational health services will provide monthly and annual reports which inform the number of referrals and identify any trends across services.

-We have identified our Executive Director of HR and OD as our committed board member to drive our health and wellbeing agenda forwards.
