We at Braybrook's are fully committed to the health and wellbeing of our staff, and will continue to review existing Occupational Health policies and procedures, to ensure we continue to deliver best practice accross the Industry
We would like to make the following pledges to help raise staff awareness, and improve the lives of our employees.
All sites, where we act as Principal Contractor, will be non smoking sites except during meal and break times. Designated smoking areas will continue to be located away from non smokers, and usage restrictions will be implemented to help reduce the number of individuals smoking on site. We aim to implement this by April 2014.
Educate all staff on the consequences of smoking, alcohol and drug misuse. Braybrook already promote a zero tolerance policy towards alcohol and drugs, with additional awareness campaigns introduced on the dangers to health of such activities.
Provide free natural water dispensers and cooking facilities for all site canteens and actively encourage their usage as opposed to local cafes/fast food establishments. Fresh fruit will also be provided at the start of each week, as from April 2014.
Identify individuals who are, or may be at risk of suffering ill health via a programme of health checks and screening, and ensure appropriate steps are taken to identify pre-existing conditions and prevent further deterioration.
Work with our supply chain and sub-contractors to encourage participation in our health and wellbeing commitments. Presently our supply chain are only made aware of our Drugs and Alcohol procedure, which we plan to extend to all Health & Wellbeing initiatives introduced by the Company. We aim to implement this by April 2014.
