The Treasury Solicitor’s Department (TSol) has an internal website dedicated to Health and Wellbeing outlining the range of support options available to staff including sight tests, flu jabs, monthly GP service and sickness absence policies. TSol attendance management policies help to ensure that sickness absence is recorded and managed effectively and consistently, and these are due for review in line with the wider Civil Service policy.

The Department monitors health and wellbeing through monthly reports on levels of sickness absence, staff surveys and staff turnover and vacancies. Sickness absence levels are discussed regularly by senior leaders and decisions taken regarding any mitigating actions which may need to be put in place. TSol’s annual staff engagement survey also enables monitoring of progress in a number of key areas that link to health and wellbeing such as management, fair treatment and work-life balance.
