H3. Health & Wellbeing Report
21 October, 2013
Submitted: 10 December, 2013
The health and wellbeing of our employees is paramount. We undertake health assessments to assess the impact work is having on an individual and have a pro-active wellbeing programme to raise awareness of the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. The generic success of these initiatives is already included in our Annual Sustainability Report but it is our intention to develop this further and report on the results of specific health assessment criteria, health trends across all parts of the business and the initiatives we intend to implement to drive improvement. This reflects our culture of transparency, continual improvement and Board Room commitment to employee health and wellbeing. It is also our intention to include Occupational Health issues on our public facing website, where we feel this is appropriate.
In accordance with the pledge, we monitor sickness absence but intend to take this a step further through the implementation of a new Occupational Health and Wellbeing Strategy entitled “Fit for Work, Fit for Life, Fit for Tomorrow”. The programme will work in continuing to help us to identify trends relating to sickness absence and how best to improve the health and wellbeing of our employees.
