ARAMARK will be launching a new health and wellbeing programme across its business from January 2014. In developing this programme we have taken the Responsibility Deal target areas as a key decision- making factor.

We have also now implemented menus based on customer insight that are backed up by centrally created recipes, which allows us to assess the nutritional content of each recipe being used across the business.

The training of our teams to understand their responsibility when publishing calorie content is a critical area and as such, the roll out will happen in line with the key members of the team undergoing appropriate training.

From 2014 we will commence a phased roll out of calorific content and GDA’s on all products and recipes. We aim to have this fully implemented by the end of 2104. This will include total calories, fat, saturated fat, carbohydrates and salt levels. Allergens information will also be available for customers

As part of our programme we will also introduce across the business the following actions from January 2014:
• Shelf barkers to highlight snacks that are less than 150kcals
• Healthy retail promotions that show the calories of products
• Healthy options will be highlighted on our daily and weekly menus by use of a programme logo. This will allow customers to pick out healthier options with ease.
• Introducing a Wellbeing activity planner for the company that will focus on a priority health topic each month, one of which will be dedicated to reading food labels and what GDA’s mean
