The following are selected extracts from our Company Handbook:

A healthy workplace enables us to create and implement an agreed approach on all aspects relating to physical activity, healthy eating, smoking, drugs & alcohol and mental health and well being whilst at work.
IEx has a commitment to creating a healthy work place and supporting employees health and wellbeing by providing time flexibility, active encouragement, information and choices to encourage a healthy working lifestyle.
Physical activity is essential for good health and contributes to positive well-being. Many of the leading causes of disease and disability in our society – such as coronary heart disease, strokes, obesity, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, colorectal cancer, stress, anxiety, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and low back pain – are associated with physical inactivity. IEx encourages regular breaks from workstations, daytime walk during work hours to refresh body and mind, active walking to work and walking an extra tube stop when on business in London.
It is important that our workplace creates an environment conducive to positive mental health and well-being. Too much work, as well as too little, a lack of control over work or feeling under-valued are all key contributory factors to someone becoming stressed or anxious through work. Problems outside of work will reduce an individual’s ability to cope with stress in the workplace. IEx encourages regular, open and honest discussion regarding perceived work pressure and workload, and will offer support and intervention when such situations arise.
