Nourish & Flourish - Healthy without compromising on taste
Our diverse menu means that customers could tuck into anything from tasty hot baps with tender cuts of meat, filling bistro dishes or satisfying salads with rustic breads, olive oils and dressings. Wherever we can we strive to make it in the healthiest and most low-fat way possible.
Nutrition is very important to us and we believe in giving our customers the knowledge to make informed food choices without ever having to compromise on taste. This is why we started investing three years ago in our own bespoke nutrition project called Nourish & Flourish.
The project is to be rolled out to all our sites by the end of 2013 and is headed up by our own H&J nutritionist, Gabriella, who works with our chefs to teach them how to analyse the food they produce, meaning they are able to give nutritional information for a number of the hot dishes they create during the week as well as all grab & go items.
Not only do we strive to provide nutritional information on grab & go items such as salads, sandwiches, baps, wraps and sushi, we also use attention grabbing stickers to highlight added benefits.
Taking Nourish & Flourish one step further, we’ve developed our own smart phone app which means our customers can find out even more about the food they eat in their staff restaurant. Using the latest nutritional databases our app, called Well Nourished, allows customers to view key information about the food on offer, as well as keep a food diary. Not only that, but it also ties in with our monthly marketing packs, offering seasonal recipes and information on seasonal ingredients.
On the road-Our nutrition team also run roadshows at sites to help teach customers about food - what’s in it and what’s best for our bodies.
