Kraft Foods in the UK has a long established Occupational Health (OH) team. Within the OH Dept we currently offer a number of standard occupational assessments such as medicals for manufacturing colleagues. These include lung function tests, cholesterol testing, BMI, and other standard health checks. We also offer lung function tests through the Fit for Life health assessment which is accessible for all employees. We work in close collaboration with the wider community and the local Smoking Cessation team within South Birmingham. They support all of our programmes and supply the Nicotine Replacement Therapy for staff enrolled into the programme. All of the OH Nurses are trained in Smoking Cessation and are able to issue NRT as part of this role.Kraft Foods also supports and promotes the No Smoking Day on an annual basis.Future Plans As an official sponsor of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, we will be supporting the wider company drive to encourage employees to get healthy by encouraging our workforce to quit smoking during the summer of 2012.This will be run in line with NHS guidelines and will include promotional materials around our sites.
