Centre for Mental Health appoints a member of staff as Health and Wellbeing Co-ordinator. This role is held by an individual for 12 months, in addition to their normal work duties. Part of the role of the Health and Wellbeing Co-ordinator (HWC) is to seek out and promote opportunities for Centre staff and associates to increase their physical activity and to improve their physical and mental health. The HWC acts as a resource for information on local opportunities to improve health, wellbeing and fitness; promotes sports activities such as cycling to work, lunch-time running, swimming and walks, and organises team competitions which include physical activity challenges. The Centre provides shower and changing facilities at our offices to enable employees to undertake physical exercise before and after work or during their lunch breaks.
