Our annual reports (http://www.dartmoor.gov.uk/aboutus/au-theauthority/au-corporateplanning_process/annual-review-2011-12) include a section on measuring performance where our staff sickness absence rates are published. Sickness absence data is collected on our HR system. It is measured on an annual basis using the average FTE for the year. It is also reported on a quarterly basis to our Audit Governance Committee (reports published online). We provide access to an occupational health service to support employee wellbeing. This includes pre-employment screening, health referrals and a free and confidential counselling service. We also provide regular wellbeing initiatives (normally on a quarterly basis) that are offered to staff. Recent topics included: Musculo-skeletal matters Healthy Eating/Weight Management General Health Wellbeing Drop In Back, Neck PostureIn addition, we introduced a new HR Annual Report that was presented to our Audit Governance Committee in November 2012. The report covers the work of the HR Service including a section on Health, Safety and Wellbeing.
