Diageo is committed to continually increasing choice for consumers through innovation and renovating existing products and has already introduced a new mid strength variant of Guinness in a can at 2.8% alc/vol. which was introduced in Tesco in February 2012.In addition to this, we intend to reduce the strength of one of the leading wines within our brand portfolio from around 12% alc/vol to around 11.5% alc/vol early in 2013 which will result in approximately 5 million units of alcohol being removed from the UK marketplace.We also intend to introduce a new 5.5% strength variant of one of our major wine brands in the near future.Additionally, our premix cans range such as Gordons and Tonic and Smirnoff Cola also help consumers to keep a check on their units with the pre measured alcohol content stated on the can.We are also currently exploring other potential opportunities in these areas.
