In the event of habitual absence, up-to-date knowledge of employees general health is captured at every absence through the back to work process. Where there is no obvious sign of illness through absence, line managers are trained in identifying changes in behaviour and how having good relationships which gain trust and confidence when providing support under difficult circumstance such as dealing with chronic conditions. The principles of managing sickness absences are embedded into all company policies whether its capability or conduct focused. Maxxium will endeavour to be flexible when dealing with chronic conditions in the same way as managing sickness absence through various options such as changes to hours of work, duties and location. Every employee is provided with private medical care as part of their contractual benefits.
