Employees are currently offered a basic Health MOT on a three yearly cycle. Measuring BMI, height, weight, hip-to-waist ratio, blood glucose and non-fasting cholesterol. This programme is due to end next year. Our plan for 2012/13 and beyond is to annually offer:a lifestyle questionnairescreening (measuring BMI, height, weight, body fat composition, hip-to-waist ratio, blood glucose, blood pressure, non-fasting cholesterol and cardia-risk assessment).employees will receive a leaflet of their results with guidance on what is considered healthy and the risks if their results our outside of this.employees will be given the opportunity to discuss their results with a member of the clinical team and to develop an action plan for going forward.employees will be signposted to internal initiatives available to thememployees will be signposted to appropriate NHS screening programmes.As the programme will be run annually, we will be able to assess participation and impact of the programme. Self-monitoring health kiosks are also available to employees on all sites. This enables them to monitor their blood pressure, pulse rate, weight and body fat composition on a regular basis. They are located in areas of high traffic to encourage use and are regularly promoted through our normal channels of communication. Data is collected from the machines on a quarterly basis in order to assess employee health trends. Free medicals are also offered to our executive population using an external vendor. This is a successful and valued ongoing programme which enables us to assess the health risks of our executive population.
