The next annual report of Centre for Mental Health to be published in February 2012 will include a section on the heath and wellbeing of employees i.e. actions that the centre has taken to improve the health and wellbeing of staff including physical actvity, free fruit, lunchtime educuation sessions on diet and nutrition, running group and the opportunity to use a local gym and swimming pool at a reduced rate.The Centre also promotes good mental health through supportive workload management, training for staff on mental health awareness and for line-managers in supporting their team. This year a lunchtime relaxation session was held and regualr social activities such as summer and christmas parties are organised and subsidised.Sickness absence data is curently recorded manually but an electronic tracking and monitoring system is in development which will enable the centre to actually calculate sickness absence rates.
