We have invested and improved our canteen and rest areas for our employees.Menus and food packaging now include information to identify GDA, calories and fat content. We have introduced a healthy 'grab and go' range which includes salads, fruit and fruit granolas.Drinking water is readily available to all employees. We are further improving our balanced menu offerings and continuing to reduce fat and salt content.At our new 'healthy ambitions food court' we have made ten pledges to our employees:Increase the healthy options availableProvide responsibly sized portionsProvide and promote the consumption of fruit and vegetables.Vegetables will be steamed or stir fried served without butter. Roasted vegetables will be done so in the smallest quantity of olive rapeseed oil.All recipes containing milk will be produced using only semi skimmed milk.All breakfast meats will be grilled or baked.All our food will be produced with a minimum amount of salt.We will provide wholegrain and multi-seed breads alongside white bread.We will offer a healthier range of snacking foods.Our salads will be dressed in lower fat mayonnaise, olive rapeseed oils, and seasoned with herbs spices.
