Elior UK is a leading national contract caterer, providing a variety of catering services to workplaces, schools, care homes, retail outlets, sports stadia and hertitage sites, and employing approximately 10,000 staff including casual labour.Elior UK aims to encourage all its employees to maximise their attendance at work. It is recognised, however, that a certain level of sickness absence is inevitable. It is the company's policy to support employees who are genuinely sick and unable to come to workThe company retains the services of an occupational health provision. Employees may be requested by their manager to consent to be examined by the occupational doctor (at the company's expense) and to agree to allow the doctor to provide a medical report to the company.Elior UK uses a third party provider for conducting its occupational health assessments. Premiere People is the provider we currently use and we can confirm that they have applied to enter the SEQOHS accreditation scheme (Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health Service) and are working to be accredited by 2012/13. As part of our assessment criteria in the future, should the provider of this service change we would endeavour to ensure that they comply with the relevant standard.
