DWP will meet this pledge as follows: - DWP HR policies and procedures already contain the principles of the chronic conditions guide by providing reasonable flexibilities and workplace adjustments.Examples of these are: -reasonable adjustments (permanent temporary) at work are provided including adjustments to workspace, flexible working patterns, part time attendance on medical grounds -DWP's occupational health service provides advice on dealing with a long-term medical condition at work -DWP's employee assistance programme supports employees when they have health (and other) problems -DWP has procedures for keeping in touch when employees are on sick leaveIn addition: - DWP has a health and wellbeing intranet site which contains information and links to useful information on a number of chronic health conditions - DWP raises awareness of chronic conditions through its intranet news pages, for example we have recently had an article to raise awareness of diabetes - DWP is a partner of asthma UK's "Asthma at Work Charter".
