Please describe your work to reduce and prevent under-age sales of alcohol, over the last year (2000 characters limit):
JD Wetherspoon continues to prioritise steps to meet its legal and moral obligation to ensure that no sales of alcohol to under age individuals take place in its premises.
The issue is a major component of staff training regarding the sale of alcohol and staff compliance with the company's proof of age schemes(Challenge 21 and 25 depending on geographic location) is tested via external mystery visitors.
A large number of staff in our premises engaged in the sale of alcohol are under 25 and training is regularly evaluated to ensure that it is understandable, relevant and delivered in a format accessible to its recipients.
