A4. Tackling Under-Age Alcohol Sales

Please describe your work to reduce and prevent under-age sales of alcohol, over the last year (2000 characters limit):
All Empire Cinemas that are licensed, vigorously enforce the Challenge 25 scheme to reduce and prevent under-age sales of alcohol. This is part of the induction process for all staff members that serve alcohol.
We now have 15 cinemas selling alcohol and have had no reported alcohol related issues during 2014. The challenge 25 scheme works well in providing the staff with a valid reason to check age without fear of embarrassing either themselves or the customer. Every team member is trained and refresher training is carried out regularly.
We only serve 1 drink per customer at a time so this acts as a deterrent to unsocial behaviour.
