H5. Smoking Cessation/Respiratory Health
24 June, 2014
Submitted: 6 May, 2015
Please describe how you have encourged your staff to stop smoking and reduced other risks in the workplace to respiratory health over the last year. There is a 2000 character limit when completing this section.
King’s Health Partners has developed its Tobacco Strategy, which currently is in its final draft. The strategy is built on NICE guidance, focussing on smoking cessation in secondary care: acute, maternity and mental health services. To promote a healthy environment, we strongly support all hospital and university buildings and grounds becoming smoke-free and proactively support the partner organisations to implement that.
Our partners are at various stages in the transition to smoke free sites, with two of them smoke free already, one due in June 2015 and the university with a pilot site planned for September 2015.
