HEINEKEN in the UK continues to actively promote our Absence and Equal Opportunities Policies. Our Policies are designed to ensure that we treat colleagues our fairly. As key part of our Absence Policy and associated processes is that we actively support out colleagues who suffer from chronic ill health issues. In 2014 HEINEKEN developed and rolled out an Absence Management training course for People Managers to further enhance their understanding of and adherence to our policies, and ensure that they support colleagues who become ill as appropriate.
HEINEKEN policies and manager guidance documents are fully compliant with the Chronic Conditions Guidelines.
In June 2014, HEINEKEN implemented and promoted our Flexible Working Policy in line with statutory requirements and in recognition of the fact that flexible working arrangements can bring mutual benefits to both the Company and colleagues. Any formal requests for flexible working associated with caring responsibilities are duly considered in line with the terms of our Policy.
