Please describe how you report on the health and wellbeing of your employees, including annual sickness rates
ALDI continues to recognise the importance of health and wellbeing of employees. Each year we produce a Corporate Responsibility report that is published internally to help demonstrate the initiatives available that support the health and wellbeing of our employees. In June 2014 - March 2015 we introduced a specific health & wellbeing policy in our employee handbook, relaunched our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to promote better understanding, increased the level of private medical cover offered to employees and ran active stress management training courses for leaders and managers. We include sickness as a performance measure for all areas of our operations and provide the statistics to leaders and managers. On an individual basis, we use the Bradford Index to monitor sickness duration and frequency to support line managers in recognising employee concerns.
