A6. Advertising & Marketing Alcohol

Please describe what are you have done over the last year to ensure that your products are marketed responsibly (2000 characters limit):
In the last 12 months all marketing and advertising output in the UK has been vetted according to UK law and relevant codes of conduct (i.e. Advertising Standards Authority and The Portman Group code of conduct) via our legal team before being implemented in market.
We have also sought advice from the likes of the Portman Group advisory service at the appropriate moments.
In September we stepped up our commitment to responsible marketing by signing up to be one of the newest members of the Portman Group council. Along with the 10 other major drinks companies, we are one of the key influencers in the development of initiatives to promote responsible marketing of alcohol.
As a result TWE's UK marketing team has been through a bespoke training session run by a member of the Code Advice team at The Portman Group.
Do you use the Drinkaware logo?
TWE continues to display the Drinkaware website address on the back labels of all of its packaging in the UK. Our promotional media, competitions and advertising continue to carry Drinkaware messaging as well as the website address.
