Please describe how you have supported staff with chronic conditions or those with unpaid caring responsibilities over the last year. There is a 2000-character limit when completing this section
We continue to take all reasonable steps to ensure that any employee who is absent from the business as a result of long term sickness is provided with appropriate care and support, as required.
We continue to partner with a number of internal and external providers including an in-house Occupational Health team, external Case Management team, an Employee Assistance Programme and Molson Coors' Environmental, Health and Safety Team.
Molson Coors adheres to a sickness absence policy which ensures consistent support and discipline in the face of chronic and/or mental health conditions in the workplace. Line Managers regularly maintain contact with the Employee concerned throughout their period of absence, to monitor their welfare, and to support a successful return to the workplace. Line Managers may also conduct welfare meetings with the employee to ensure that they are receiving appropriate support, and to understand the medical situation, prognosis, and determine what practical steps can be taken to help support the employees' return to the workplace.
The Company offers support from an external case management team for every employee who is absent from work with a physical or mental health condition. This involves an initial phone call to the employee and ongoing follow up care and support.
Robust Health Surveillance and Fitness to Work programmes are conducted by the in house OH team to ensure legal compliance and the identification of any health concerns which will then lead to implementation of required care plans, regular follow ups, onward referrals if required and feedback to the business.
We may, as part of our in-house or external provider care programmes, ask the employee to undergo a medical examination with our nominated Occupational Health Practitioner or an independent Consultant/Specialist to obtain an accurate prognosis and to determine an expected date of return to work and/or changes required to facilitate a return to work.
