H4. Healthier Staff Restaurants

Please decribe how you and your caterers have encouraged healthier restaurants/vending outlet/buffets (as applicable) for your staff over the last year. There is a 2000-character limit when completing this section.
Anglia and Essex Centre introduced requirements for catering at events and meetings which were developed by the Nutrition Advice team in central Public Health England.
The catering guidance aims to reduce costs and, identifies lunch menus that support healthier eating, avoiding options such as pastries, cakes and biscuits which were not provided at any events organised by the Centre.
This guidance was also shared with venues where the Centre was involved in conferences or events to ensure they provide lunch menus that support healthier eating.
Anglia and Essex Centre is registered as a Change4life local supporter, ensuring supplies of leaflets and posters are available or on notice boards in each location. The Centre publicised and promoted Change4life campaigns such as sugar swaps through Centre Updates and shared materials across PHE locations in Anglia and Essex.
