H6. Staff Health Checks

How many of your employees have used the staff health check offer? If unknown, please explain why.
Health Management (HML) believe that a key aim of any Occupational Health Service is to maintain and improve the health and well being of the workforce, by raising awareness and providing direct health education and encouragement of both work related and lifestyle health issues. We therefore provide a range of tools to our own staff as well as our clients.
‘Health Manager’ is an interactive online Health & Wellbeing Assessment tool that enables employees to identify their own health risks and facilitates the setting of goals to respond to the identified higher-risk issues. It also provides information, advice and support to help employees make the small changes to their lifestyle which can have a big impact on their general wellbeing.
This programme was originally rolled out to all our employees in 2012 and continues to be used and promoted as a means of managing individual’s wellbeing across HML.
‘Health Manager’ integrates seamlessly into ‘Health Matters’, our internet based advice and information tool, sign-posting people to the correct support facilities and thus encouraging an integrate Health & Wellbeing programme.
‘Health Matters’ has an monthly programme of guides on a wide range of wellbeing topics to encourage changes in behaviour to lead a more healthy lifestyle, which are promoted internally to encourage perusal.
Just over 50% of our employees have signed up to the Health Manager tool. It is not possible to establish how many individuals have viewed the Health Matters website internally, only the number of hits in total and the pages viewed
