F3(a). Non use of Artificial Trans Fat

1. Please indicate if partially hydrogenated vegetable oil (p-HVO) used as an ingredient has been removed from all your products/menu items/SKUs?
2. Please indicate if the level of trans fats in oil and fats used in the preparation of food e.g. frying oil, is limited to a maximum of 2%?
3. When will this reformulation be completed?
In April 2014 we underpinned our commitment to best quality sustainable produce by only using rapeseed oil across our business. Rapeseed oil is trans-fat free, heating of the oil may in some cases provide very small amounts of trans-fat but not enough to influence or have detrimental effects on health.
Our major suppliers have worked to ensure existing products are free from trans-fats and we are in the process of working with smaller and new suppliers to check their product specifications and hope to remove any products with trans-fats from our supplier list.
Our main supplier has signed up to Responsibility Deal to meet trans-fat criteria for own its brand products.
We have written a â€˜partially hydrogenated oils policyâ€™ whereby we inform new suppliers about our aims to remove trans-fats within our ingredients and products across our business.
Trans fat is minimal or non-existent in across our business.
