Autograph is the Business and Industry division of Initial Catering Services. Established in 1990 Autograph is the 7th largest caterer in the market place with Clients in Business and Industry, Local Authority, school and distribution sectors. Clients include Tesco, B&Q, Johnson and Johnson and The Department for Education. At Autograph we take real pride in our food offer with Chefs using fresh, seasonal produce to produce innovative, varied menus. We continue to stay committed to providing a food offer that enables our customers to make healthy choices and this is enhanced through our on-going health related educational activities.

F1. Out of Home Calorie Labelling

This year our real focus has been on our F1. Out of Home Calorie Labelling pledge. We currently provide calorie labelling on our Grab and Go range in a number of sites in the following organisations:

- Department for Education (Bristol and London)
- P&A Consulting
- B&Q Cafes
- Zerox

Our Food Development Department are working on an exciting project developing a revised Kitchen Manual. This manual is divided into a range of sections based on our food offer (Soup, Sub 500 cals, Classic Main Meal, Grab and Go etc.) and will include approximately 100 recipes. For each recipe calorie labelling will be provided. It is anticipated that this manual will be issued out to our sites in September 2014.

F3(a). Non use of Artificial Trans Fat

Brakes are our key food supplier who operate a Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (HVO) Policy. Brakes are fully aware of the increasing evidence that the intake of trans fats, which are sometimes found in HVOs, is linked to the increased risk of Coronary Heart Disease. Based on this evidence HVOs have not been used in the manufacture of all Brakes branded products since 2007.

F5(a). Salt Catering: Training and Kitchen Practice

We continue to work on our Salt Catering Pledge and have recently been piloting an initiative of removing the addition of salt during cooking at our Department of Education sites.
