Please describe the progress you have made on alcohol labelling, over the last year:
We continue to treat responsible labelling as a priority within our Corporate & Social Responsibility programme; we complied with the R-D target to achieve 80% of our brands sold in Off Trade to be compliant with 5 label specifics by the end of 2013, although we have yet to see the results from the industry audit on this challenge, which we assume is now underway.
We are a distributor of premium and ultra high end spirits to high net worth individuals, and as such we do not have a large consumer base in the 18 - 24 year old demographic which is often highlighted in the media as being sometimes irresponsible with alcohol consumption. In addition we support the ban on irresponsible promotions now in force in Scotland, and would welcome stricter enforcement of existing Licensing laws in On and Off Trade Premises.
