H4. Healthier Staff Restaurants

Please decribe how you and your caterers have encouraged healthier restaurants/vending outlet/buffets (as applicable) for your staff over the last year. There is a 2000-character limit when completing this section.
In January 2014 we launched our Healthy for Life programme which is our comprehensive approach to health and wellbeing.
Not only does the programme allow us to help educate our customers in their work environment, it also serves as a great tool to engage our own employees in having a healthier lifestyle.
Each month, as part of a calendar or activity, Aramark sites have a food focus with healthy memu items backed by themed customer leaflets, recipe cards and point of sale information.
While the first in January was a generic Healthy Eating introduction, future focuses include specific subjects such as Whole Grains, The Power of Protein and Vitamins and Minerals.
This is accompanied by a monthly health awareness topic, ranging from Heart Health and Mental Health Awareness, through to Sun Smart and Back Care and Posture.
In addition to written materials, at larger participating sites the topics will also be communicated through health fairs and guest speaker visits.
In addition we have launched a level 2 nutrition course to educate our employees on nutrition and healthy eating.
