Through your physical activity pledges you will be working with employees, customers/consumers and/or local communities. For each group (as applicable) please describe the specific activities or projects you have undertaken over the past year.
For example, employee incentive schemes to promote physical activity, awareness raising activities or improvements to facilites to promote active travel.
Domino's already takes a number of steps to encourage more active travel including the building of indoor bike racks at our offices in Milton Keynes and the provision of shower facilities for employees who choose to cycle or walk to work. Pedometers have also been made available to all staff so they can monitor their daily steps and improve on them.
Domino's continues to partner with Pru Health by making the Vitality scheme available to our employees. This scheme ensures that employees benefit from discounted gym memberships and are given the opportunity to gain reward points, entitling them to further discounts from a wealth of high street retailers. The points system works by logging individual lifestyle habits, such as drinking less alcohol, stopping smoking and increasing physical activity. All staff complete a health questionnaire in order to began their journey to a healthier lifestyle. This scheme will continue in 2014.
Recently we have created a walking group to encourage staff to leave their desks at lunchtime to meet new colleagues and get some exercise. We intend to promote this further in 2014 and try to increase participation in this group.
For example, supporting/sponsoring local physical activity programmes, promoting physical activity to customers through website campaigns or in-store materials.
For example, support for community-based physical activity programmes (such as funding, sponsorship or other promotion activity), working with local partners to engage communities is physical activity opportunities.
Our franchisees and stores are extremely pro-active in their local communities, participating in and supporting many local activities. in 2013, our internal magazine, Slice, continued to report on all local stories, in order to share best practice and encourage ideas among our franchisees.

We are not able to confirm a specific number on this, due to our workforce being so widespread.

We are doing all we can to promote 'green' travel with some of our stores now investing in the Renault Twizy, an electric car. In 2013, we began a partnership with Renault in order to promote the Renault Twizy as the next pizza delivery vehicle of choice. Our franchisees have begun to invest in these cars.
