H4. Healthier Staff Restaurants

Fretwell-Downing Hospitality (FDH) sits in a unique position whereby, as an employer, we have a responsibility to ensure that the FDH team have access to suitable catering services. As a hospitality software provider, our responsibility is to ensure that hospitality organisations, regardless of their size, style of operation and location, have access to a solution that assists them achieve their own H4 pledge.
Building upon our pledge we have continused to employ the services of local caterers to balanced, healthy menus for our internal and external business events.
The provision of chilled water has resulted in a decrease of coffee purchases in the region of 15% whilst the consumption of fresh fruit has increased with the basket being replenished 2-3 times more than last 2012.
Whilst the opportunity for FDH to make an individual commitment that has impact on consumers in the general public is limited we pledge that we will make our solution, Saffron, available to all hospitality organisations on a cost effective basis to make the responsibility deal a valuable asset.
